History
The 6356 New York Central Bi-Level Stock Car was available for only two years -- 1954 and 1955. This freight car was classified by Lionel as a bi-level stock car and was also catalogued under two other stock numbers -- the 6376 circus stock car and the 6556 Missouri, Kansas & Texas stock car.

Features
Standard features on the 6356 include: yellow painted body with black lettering, four sliding opening doors, single brakewheel plus bar-end trucks with tab couplers.

Additional Detail, Photos & Box Information
The length of the 6356 stock car is approximately 11 1/2" long (coupler to coupler).

Large 'Built By Lionel' - The first few production runs of 1954 used a larger printing of the letters 'Built By Lionel' (to the left of the opening doors). The earliest versions are rubber-stamped and are extremely difficult to locate. Later versions have large heat-stamped letters and are also hard to locate.
Small 'Built By Lionel' - Shown in the photo above - Later production of 1954, and all of 1955, used a smaller printing for the 'Built By Lionel' lettering. This is the most common variation.
